Hints & Tips to Make Your Web Stuff Better July 2005

Celebrating...well, a lot of stuff

Taking a moment to appreciate it all...

Slowing down and appreciating the good stuffWe have just returned from our annual family vacation to Topsail Island. On July 4th, as I watched an incredible Independence Day fireworks display from our cottage balcony (and listened to the neighbors sing an inebriated but enthusiastic version of the Star Spangled Banner), it struck me that we have so much to appreciate here in the good ol' U.S. of A.

From our founding fathers, who had the courage to step out and march against the grain, to this incredible land in which we live (purple mountains majesty and all that), to the courageous men and women who continue to put their lives on the line for us everyday, we have much to be thankful for.

As a small business owner, I'm especially grateful to my clients. You, literally, are what makes CyberScribe Web Solutions tick. And to say an extra special thank you this month for letting us serve you, we've teamed up with the Triangle SportsPlex to offer a FREE six-month membership to one lucky customer. Scroll down for more details.

In the meantime, take a moment to reflect on all that you have to celebrate today. Your day will be better because of it!

The Triangle SportsPlexOur way of saying thanks!

I appreciate all referrals, but I cherish referrals from existing customers because that means they're happy with what we're doing for them.

So to say thanks, CyberScribe Web Solutions has teamed up with the Triangle SportsPlex to offer a free six-month membership to one lucky CyberScribe customer.

To enter the drawing for the membership, all you have to do is send us one valid referral between now and August 12, 2005. Just make sure I know you sent the referral, and you'll automatically be entered in the drawing.

The winner will be announced August 15. If you win, you can use the membership for yourself, or give it to a friend or family member (or even to a client to say thanks for the business!).

Recent CyberScribe projects...

Katherine R. Brodie Recruiting ServicesIn addition to implementing ongoing updates for our clients, we've recently released a new online application for Katherine R. Brodie Recruiting Services. The application allows job candidates to create a profile and submit their applications online. Then recruiter Kathy Brodie can log in to her administration area and search her candidate database for just the right career match!

Here's a snippet of what Kathy had to say about this project:

I have been 100% satisfied with the work that Rod has performed for me. He captured the look and feel of my existing site such that the entire site flows seamlessly.

He clearly understood my project objectives and succeeded in creating a very complex yet very user-friendly site that reflects both my personality and the style with which I interact with my clientele.

Making the most of the web

Over the Top FarmOver the Top Farm owner Sandra Gray wanted to make the most of her web site at http://overthetopfarm.com by adding online video to provide short online riding "lessons."

So she started collecting video and hired CyberScribe to conduct a short tutorial on using basic video editing software. Now she's developing an entire online library of riding tips. Check them out at http://overthetopfarm.com/training.shtml.

Coming Soon...
